A 10-month-old baby has tragically died in Greece, despite doctors' best efforts to save him. The child was urgently transported by helicopter from the island of Rhodes to Athens for specialist treatment, but did not survive.

According to Greek media, the baby died at around 04:30 a.m., after several hours of intensive efforts by medical staff. The tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening, when the child was rushed to Rhodes Hospital after choking while feeding. Doctors managed to remove the obstruction from his airway and revive him, but the prolonged lack of oxygen had caused a serious deterioration in his health.

Due to the critical situation, the authorities decided to immediately transport the baby by helicopter to a specialized hospital in Athens. However, despite the efforts of doctors during the transport and upon arrival in the Greek capital, the baby could not be saved. The case has caused great shock, while the authorities are continuing to verify the circumstances of the tragic event.
