Moderator and journalist Bledi Strakosha has gone through a difficult health period, which kept him under the care of doctors for 12 days. Invited to the show "Rudina", Strakosha recounted the difficult moments, from the appearance of symptoms to diagnosis and surgical intervention.
"Around 11:30 at night I get up from the couch to go to the kitchen. As soon as I get up, I start to feel a stabbing headache, first in my forehead and then throughout my head all the way to the base of my neck," he said.
Initially, the doctors who went to the house did not consider the situation urgent. The next day, Strakosha went to the hospital, where after tests and a contrast scan, a cerebral hemorrhage was discovered.
After the surgical intervention, the moderator considers himself lucky to have succeeded and describes this experience as "a second life."
"Your life changes completely in one day," he said, confessing that this event has made him reflect on the importance of health care.
Strakosha chose to share his story publicly to raise awareness among people who neglect unusual symptoms.
"There's always the idea that taking a paracetamol will make it go away, but we don't take some symptoms seriously that are unusual. I also went at the urging of my sister," he said.
After this experience, the moderator says he will start a healthier life and will try to quit smoking, which he has been consuming since the age of 18.
