Shkodran artist Adrian Paci has reacted to MP Marjana Koçeku's decision to become an independent MP and leave the SP parliamentary group.

In a post on social media, Paci praised the decision made by Koçek, adding that she hopes that such a thing will be followed by other colleagues.

"Marjana Koçek's resignation from the SP parliamentary group is a strong signal that power cannot be an end in itself and that reflection, self-restraint and withdrawal should not be considered weaknesses, but rather obligatory companions, especially for those whom the will of the citizens has invested with power. It is clear that today a new pact is required between society and the political elite, and this need invites the ruling class to take a step back. New rules of the game must be drawn up, and these rules must sanction the circulation of elites as the necessary mechanism that intertwines stability with the constant need for change. Congratulations Marjana for your courageous decision, and I hope that many others will follow suit to pave the way for a new pact for a different Albania," he writes.
