United States President Donald Trump has delivered his speech at the NATO Summit taking place in Ankara, focusing extensively on the military conflict with Iran and repeating some of his most well-known theses on the power of the American military and the state of Tehran.

The White House president's speech began on a surprisingly positive note. He chose to first congratulate Turkey for hosting this important alliance summit, and praised NATO's new leader, Secretary General Mark Rutte. However, this festive atmosphere was short-lived, as Trump immediately moved on to the hottest topic on the global agenda: war with Iran.

In his address to the alliance leaders, the US president returned to his usual talking points, which have been heard frequently throughout this conflict. Trump forcefully claimed that his administration is currently taking decisive military and strategic actions that, according to him, previous US administrations should have taken decades ago but lacked the courage.

"We have destroyed Iran's military and navy," Trump said in front of allies, adding with concrete figures that a full 159 Iranian ships were already "at the bottom of the sea" as a result of American attacks.

According to the American leader, official Tehran no longer has the military capabilities left to challenge the coalition or threaten security in the region. Although these statements are seen by international observers as repeated points of his war rhetoric, they confirm official Washington's unwavering and aggressive stance in the face of the Iranian threat in the Middle East.
