Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Dorian Teliti, has reacted to the economic situation of pensioners and the way public funds are used by the government.

In a statement, Teliti claims that 87% of pensioners are unable to afford basic expenses with their pension, accusing the government of directing millions of euros towards luxurious events and propaganda, while not addressing the needs of the weaker sections.

"While our parents and grandparents drag themselves to make ends meet with ridiculous pensions, the government finds millions of euros from our taxes to pay for luxury concerts, lights, stages and propaganda parades," said Teliti. According to him, the expenses for "facades and shows" cannot be justified in the face of the economic difficulties that pensioners face.

While our parents and grandparents drag themselves through the month with ridiculous pensions, the government finds millions of euros from our taxes to pay for luxury concerts, lights, stages, and propaganda parades.
For facades and shows that last a few hours, money flows freely, while for the dignity of those who built this country, the government's pockets are always empty.
This is not just economic failure. This is moral bankruptcy!
There can be no Albania that shines on screens when the generation that raised us cannot provide for the basic necessities of life.
Enough with facades on the backs of the most vulnerable!
