For the Democrats, September 12 is the day to honor and remember Azem Hajdari, who led the student protests to overthrow the brutal communist regime. For Secretary General Flamur Noka, this day should be the day that symbolizes the battle, the uprising, and the need to support the protests to overthrow, according to him, the regime of Edi Rama.

"More than ever, it is a motive, it is a motive to confront a regime that is already a regime of crime and corruption, with the drug-regime of Edi Rama. Azem Hajdari today appeals that there is only one way to overthrow this regime. And that path is confrontation, resistance, battle with them, uprising, it is the only way to overthrow the regime," said Flamur Noka.

The murder of Azem Hajdari on the evening of September 12, 1998, is considered one of the most serious events. Azem Hajdari, a member of parliament for the Democratic Party and the main leader of the December 1990 Student Movement, was executed near the DP headquarters in Tirana. Democrats have called it a “political murder.”
