Former Brazilian champion Ronaldo Luiz Nazario da Lima, known as "The Phenomenon", has purchased a luxury apartment worth $7.8 million in the Bay Harbor Islands, in the Miami area, confirming the growing appeal of the Florida real estate market for big names in international sports.
According to real estate documents cited by the Brazilian press, the property is located in the Onda Residences complex, due for completion in 2024, and includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and a panoramic terrace with a private pool.
The deal follows Ronaldo's sale of stakes in Spanish club Real Valladolid and Brazilian club Cruzeiro, the team where he began his career. The new acquisition is part of one of the new hubs of world football, thanks to the rise of Lionel Messi's Inter Miami and the city's role as a potential host for the 2026 World Cup.
