The Ministry of Defense has announced the latest fire situation in the country, where 30 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 8 of them continue to be active.
54 firefighting vehicles and 502 operational forces have been engaged in the firefighting operations, while 110 Armed Forces personnel, 3 helicopters and the Air Force's "Air Tractor" aircraft have been deployed in their support.
Firefighting efforts continue in the Dajti area, while authorities say there is no danger to residential areas. Operations are also continuing in Priska and Çakallesh, with no threat to the community.
In Riban, Ngraçan and Panahor, in the municipality of Mallakastër, the intervention to neutralize the fire in difficult terrain continues, but so far no danger to homes has been reported.
In the Elbasan region, work is underway on the Shqiponjë, Mali i Dardhës and Mjekës fires. The fire in Shqiponjë has been brought under control, while the fire in Mali i Dardhës has been isolated. There is no reported danger to residential areas in these areas either.
Meanwhile, in Kostren 2, in the municipality of Berat, the intervention to extinguish a reactivated fire continues, with firefighting forces and vehicles on the ground.
The National Civil Protection Agency and civil protection structures continue to monitor the situation and coordinate operations throughout the country.
