The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, in a media appearance, has just left the SPAK premises where he was asked about the criminal case against the former acting mayor of Tropoja Municipality, Zyra Islamaj.

"It is a normal procedural procedure, where the accused party requests the summons to testify for various persons. The court accepted the request and we have responded to the request before the court. Justice is doing its job as long as an official is accused of corruption. It is about the deputy mayor of Tropoja, who has been taken as a defendant for a road. The reason why I came is that a group of deputies are signatories of the complaint. We stand by the complaint. It is good news that the complaint made by us has been found correct by SPAK, which has referred this matter to the GJKKO for trial," said Bardhi.

We recall that four Democratic Party MPs, Gazment Bardhi, Elda Hoti, Xhelal Mziu and Bledion Nallbati, were summoned today as witnesses at the Criminal Court of Kosovo in the criminal trial against the former mayor of the Municipality of Tropoja, Zyra Islamaj.

She is accused of corruption, while the investigation against Islamaj began after a complaint made by the Democratic MPs themselves.
