For 40 days, the citizens of Divjaka have been protesting against the administrative-territorial reform project known as "Mazniku", opposing the inclusion of Divjaka in the Municipality of Lushnja. Despite the pressures that, according to the protesters, have been exerted to stop the resistance, the citizens of Divjaka have continued the protest and marches in the streets of the city.

According to them, since the start of the protest, representatives of local government and then representatives of political delegates have tried to convince citizens not to participate in the rallies.

The protesters say they will not back down from their stance and demand that institutions listen to the voice of citizens.

"This is not the time when there is no state to give allegiance to, but there are institutions that must answer to the citizens for this betrayal of Divjaka," the protesters say.

At the end of the protest, citizens also marched through the city streets, chanting slogans in defense of Divjaka's status as a municipality. "Divjaka municipality!" and "Divjaka belongs to the citizens, not to those in power!" were some of the slogans of the protesters, who oppose the administrative unification with Lushnja.
