Independent MP Marjana Koçeku, through a post on social media, has reacted again to the massive anti-government protests that have been going on in our country for 77 days. Koçeku states that the protests have made people understand that the public and the common belong to us all.
The MP, who left GPS a few months ago, has also criticized the reactions of Prime Minister Edi Rama and others in this political force and declares that there is now a difference between the new political culture of protest and the old one that ridicules it.
"It took 77 days of protest to sow what 35 years of politics could neither do nor want to: the awareness that the public and the common belong to us all and that the citizen is not a spectator, but a protagonist of his country."
77 days of protest to create a new political manifestation. To show that civic participation, public morality and responsibility are not just rhetorical speeches, but attitudes and the essence of man as part of the community and the place where he lives.
"So much and so little time to show the profound difference between the new generation and outdated politics. One is awakening and witnessing a new culture; the other continues to mock the citizen and refuse to listen to him," she writes.
