Many citizens have gathered again today in "Skënderbej" Square, from where they are expected to march towards the Prime Minister's Office building, on the 78th consecutive day of protests against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government cabinet.
Protesters are demanding the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Rama, while raising their concerns about the economic crisis, rising prices, and the difficulties citizens face in their daily lives.
A new element of the protests in recent days is the involvement of the diaspora. Since August 14, Albanians from various countries have joined the protesters in Tirana, giving the movement another dimension and massiveness.
In addition to the resignation of Edi Rama, the protesters are demanding the creation of a transitional government with a 12-month mandate, which, according to them, will have as its mission the preparation and holding of free and fair elections.
The protest continues with a march towards the Prime Minister's Office, while participants are expected to reiterate their political and economic demands.
