The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi from the Assembly, addressed some of the EP's criticisms of Albania regarding its path towards integration.
He said that the vote against lifting Balluk's immunity, requested by SPAK, is a black mark on Albania in this process.
"As you are aware, on May 5, the EP unanimously approved the 2025 report on Albania, which also highlights issues and problems that will need to be addressed by the Parliament. It would be good news for the Parliament to play a role in meeting the concerns raised by the EP during 2025. But it has contributed to this report having black spots for Albania that make integration difficult, such as the 83 votes against for obstructing justice to protect the corruption of the Deputy Prime Minister. There should be no political interference in this issue," he said.
