The operation codenamed "Wrong Way" is finalized, a case in the field of smuggling of goods is cracked. A 26-year-old man has been arrested.
The young man was arrested on the Elbasan-Tirana road after he was transporting smuggled clothing of various brands in a van. Their value amounted to around 45,000 euros.
The clothing and the van were seized during the operation. Specialists of the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Section of the Tirana Police Department, in continuation of their work to prevent, identify and crack down on criminal activity in the field of goods smuggling, based on information obtained in operational channels, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Wrong way".
Investigations are ongoing to document this illegal activity and identify other citizens who may be involved.
The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
