DURRES - Two criminal cases have been dealt with by the services of the Plazh Police Station within the framework of the other two phases of the codenamed "Security" operation, where a Swedish citizen was arrested after being caught carrying a firearm, while the theft of a wall safe was also prevented.

As a result of intensified checks and patrols, cooperation with citizens and intelligence work, the police arrested Swedish citizen OK, 29 years old, in flagrante delicto. During the search, a firearm, a pistol, along with a magazine full of cartridges, was found in the fanny pack he was carrying. The weapon and ammunition were seized as material evidence.

In another case, the police prevented the theft of a wall safe. Near the apartment where the safe was located, citizen DP, 24 years old, suspected of being one of the perpetrators of the attempted theft, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

From the investigative actions carried out after the incident, the police also identified his two suspected accomplices, citizens VK, 38 years old, and SI, 26 years old. As a result of the quick actions, it was possible to detain VK, while work continues to capture SI.

The State Police announces that checks and patrols will continue with intensity, as part of the measures taken to guarantee order and security, especially during the tourist season.
