The harsh speeches in front of the Prime Minister's Office building continue, where citizens gathered on the 72nd day of the protest have issued strong accusations against the political class and state leaders.
During his speech to the crowd, one of the protesters demanded justice without any discrimination for all those who, according to him, have led the country towards poverty:
"Rama in prison, Berisha in prison, all the criminals who left Albania poor! Everyone should end up in prison for crimes against this country," he said.
He further quoted a message distributed by the US embassy, referring to the positions of US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, as a "slap" against the government and abuses of power:
"A country that is unable to build ships, produce medicine, control immigration, or provide access to vital resources cannot protect its people, their interests, and their way of life! Secretary of State Marco Rubio delivers a slap in the face to the axis of crime and corruption, the man who sells the lands of his homeland as if it were his own fiefdom," he declared.
The protester emphasized that the citizens present in the square are protesting without any personal interest, but only to live with dignity in their homeland, concluding his speech with the pledge: "We will continue the protest until the tyrant Edi Rama disappears!"
