Summer seems to be starting. Himara is getting ready for the new summer season.
The Municipality of Himara has organized a rich 3-day program for the opening of the tourist season in Himara, filled with sports, cultural and entertainment activities for all ages.
May 1 – Official opening
The day begins with a festive parade and sports activities such as mini marathons and beach volleyball. During the day, craft and culinary fairs, exhibitions and cooking challenges take place. There are also artistic performances and record attempts. The evening ends with a folklore concert and famous artists.
May 2 – Celebration and spectacle
The focus is on entertainment and spectacle: activities for children, water sports such as scuba diving and kayaking, as well as fairs. In the evening there are acrobatics, a light festival, an outdoor cinema and a big concert with modern artists, followed by the announcement of the winners of the event.
May 3 – Tradition and music
The last day brings a combination of tradition and family fun: circus, educational activities for children, fairs and water sports. The evening concludes with musical performances, a drone show and a grand concert with the best voices of Albanian music and beyond.
The program welcoming the 2026 tourist season is rich and comprehensive, combining sports, culture, tradition and modern entertainment.
For three consecutive days, the coastal city transforms into a huge festive stage, offering activities for every age group and every taste.
From sports competitions and craft fairs, to light shows, concerts with renowned artists and family activities, the event aims to promote not only the natural beauties of Himara, but also its cultural heritage and energy.
With such a diverse program and festive atmosphere, the opening of the tourist season is expected to attract visitors from all over Albania and beyond, putting Himara in the spotlight as one of the most attractive summer destinations.
