Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, together with SDA Sandzak MPs, Ahmedin Shkrijel and Minela Kalender, have proposed a resolution to condemn the crimes committed in Kosovo during 1998-1999.

Kamberi announced that the resolution represents a call to confront the past and accept the facts established by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

According to him, the document condemns the systematic crimes, murders, deportations, ethnic cleansing and violence committed against the Albanian civilian population in Kosovo by the military, police and paramilitary structures of the then Serbian regime.

"The resolution recalls the massacres in Recak, Meja, Kruše e Madhe, Kruše e Vogël, Suhareka, Izbica, Podujevo and many other places, as well as the existence of mass graves in Batajnica, Petrovo Selo, Perućac and Kiževak," Kamberi wrote.
