The Police Supervision Agency (AMP) has published the statistical report for the period January-June 2026, taking stock of its activity during the first half of the year.
According to the report, during this period, 24 officers were dismissed from the State Police. In addition, the AMP referred 232 police officers and 2 Republican Guard officers to the Prosecutor's Office for various criminal offenses.
The report also shows that during the first half of the year, 9 police officers, 1 Guard officer, and 1 Fire and Rescue Service officer were arrested in the act.
Another element that stands out in the report is the high number of complaints that have proven to be unfounded. According to the AMP, during the period January-June 752 requests and complaints were administered. Of these, 434 cases were assessed as unfounded, while in 251 cases the claim raised could not be proven.
Of all the complaints administered, AMP reports that criminal proceedings have been registered for 15 cases, while investigations have continued according to legal procedures.
