Gentian Doda is the man accused of two murders in 1997 in Burrel and released two months ago, which also put a high-ranking judge behind bars.
Today 39 years old, Gentian Doda had only one image in the media when he was very young, immediately after the double crime. "BalkanWeb" has managed to secure a new photo of Doda where she appears completely different.
Gentian Doda, after an entire 'odyssey' of hearings, was initially sentenced to 20 years in prison after being extradited from the US, in a retrial of the case, initially by the Court of Mati and then by the Court of Appeals in Tirana, which came as a result of the change of charge from murder to injury resulting in death.
The judge who gave the final decision in the Appeal, Shkëlqim Miri, is accused of corruption and of receiving a large sum of money to give a decision in favor of Doda.
Doda was accused of the murder of Shkëlqim Dedja and Asllan Gjoka.
