The Crime Investigation Structures at the Vlora Local Police Directorate have undertaken a plan of measures focused on the verification of vehicles with high financial values, with the aim of cracking down on assets obtained from criminal activity. During the field checks, the police have escorted several luxury vehicles produced in recent years, where after the verifications carried out, they have ascertained violations of property legislation.

From the preliminary investigations and the statements received from their owners, it has resulted that three of these vehicles were not justified by the known and legal income of the owners. Under these conditions, the police structures have seized the vehicles as material evidence, while the three citizens who owned them have been proceeded at large for the criminal offense of "Laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense".

In parallel with the criminal proceedings, the police authorities in Vlora have launched an in-depth property investigation against the vehicle owners, to trace the origin of the financial resources and the manner in which their assets were obtained. The State Police announced that actions of this type will continue in the coming days to identify illegal assets.
