A conflict that started with sharp objects in a bar in Divjaka risked escalating into a murder, but timely police intervention prevented the serious incident.

The operation codenamed "Crime Prevented" was finalized by the Divjaka Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation structures at the Fier Local Police Directorate, while six people were arrested.

Arrested as part of the "Crime Prevented" operation were citizens Orgito Lamka, Kevin Sota, Serxhio Duda, Shahin Xhepexhiu, Santiago Alla and Zeni Kule.

The incident began after a conflict in a bar owned by 50-year-old ZK, where the Police services were notified of the collision with hard objects. At the scene, the officers found 22-year-old OL and 51-year-old Sh. Xh., who had received injuries during the conflict. After receiving medical assistance and making statements at the Police Station, both fled towards their homes.

A few hours later, the Police received information on the operational route that OL had returned to the bar armed with a pistol equipped with a silencer and, according to investigators' suspicions, intended to kill Sh. Xh. The immediate intervention of the Police services made it possible to prevent the event.

During the operation, OL, 22 years old, was arrested, who, according to the Police, has a criminal record for the production and sale of narcotics in Albania and Belgium. At the time of the intervention, a pistol with a silencer, with a cartridge in the chamber and ready to fire, was found on him.

KS, 45, with a criminal record for producing and selling narcotics in Albania, was also arrested. During a search of his vehicle, the police found another firearm, a pistol.

SD, 28, was arrested after, according to investigations, he was driving the vehicle in which OL had returned to the bar a few hours after the conflict. Meanwhile, 30-year-old SA is accused of attempting to remove the firearm from KS's vehicle.

As part of the operation, the owner of the bar, ZK, 50, was also arrested for failing to report a crime. Sh. Xh., 51, was also arrested for the same criminal offense, after the investigation revealed that he had not told the truth about the conflict.

As material evidence, the Police seized two pistols, one of them with a silencer, four vehicles and six mobile phones. The weapons will undergo ballistics testing.

Investigations continue to fully document the circumstances of the conflict, to determine the responsibility of each of the persons involved, and to verify their possible criminal activity.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier for further action.

The Divjaka police received a report that a conflict involving sharp objects was taking place in a bar owned by citizen ZK, 50 years old.

Immediately, the Police services approached the scene, where they found citizen OL, 22 years old, and citizen Sh. Xh., 51 years old, who had been injured during the conflict with hard objects.

Citizens OL and Sh. Xh., after receiving medical treatment and completing their statements at the Police Station, left for their homes.

While carrying out actions to fully document the conflict and identify other persons involved, the Police received operational notification that one of the perpetrators, citizen OL, had returned to the bar a few hours later armed with a pistol with a silencer and was suspected of killing citizen Sh. Xh.

The timely and professional intervention of the Police services prevented the murder.

Following operational and procedural actions, Criminal Investigation specialists arrested the following citizens:

– OL, 22 years old, with a criminal record in the field of production and sale of narcotics in Albania and Belgium.

A firearm, a pistol with a silencer, with a cartridge in the chamber, ready to fire, was found and seized from this citizen.

– KS, 45 years old, with a criminal record in the field of production and sale of narcotics in Albania.

During the search of this citizen's vehicle, the Police found a firearm, a pistol.

– SD, 28 years old, with a criminal record in the field of production and sale of narcotics in Albania. This citizen was driving the vehicle in which citizen OL had returned to the bar after a few hours.

– SA, 30 years old, who attempted to remove the firearm from the vehicle of citizen KS

– ZK, 50 years old, the owner of the bar, who was arrested for failing to report a crime.

– Sh. Xh., 51 years old, for failure to report a crime, as during the investigation it turned out that during the statement he did not tell the truth about the conflict.

As material evidence, 2 pistol firearms, one of them with a silencer, 4 vehicles and 6 mobile phones were seized.

Firearms will be subject to appropriate expertise.

Investigative actions continue to fully document the circumstances of the conflict, determine responsibilities, and document the criminal activity of the persons involved.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action.
