A country taken hostage. An unrepresented people. An Albania blocked in elections, blocked in political rotation, blocked in institutions, blocked in roads and traffic, blocked by corruption and by the banality of a government that has replaced freedom with submission. Everything seems captured. Pluralism has been reduced to a minimum. Education is being destroyed at every level by producing fake diplomas, healthcare does not respond at all to the needs of citizens, the economy of monopolies with a destroyed euro favors a caste linked to power, while the country is depopulating at alarming rates. Reforms like this of the territory have turned into pseudo-reforms, electoral operations to cement power. The wise are no longer heard, the honest are excluded, professionals are replaced by party patrons.

The government does not seek to win against the opposition in a free political competition, but to eliminate it with extra-political means, not only legal but in close alliance with the world of crime and drug trafficking! As a result, a large part of Albanians feel unrepresented. The Socialist Party has become the instrument that gives everything to a narrow caste, central and local!

In 36 years of pluralism, Albania has never known such a concentrated and pyramidal power. The President of the Republic has become a miserable figure with no real role. The Prime Minister has 15th century royal attributes.

They even took the Ombudsman unnecessarily just for public money!

Independent institutions no longer exist as such; they have become instruments of the Socialist Party and the executive branch, just like professional unions, women's unions, or other organizations in relation to the ALP!

The only stain of pluralism left in the country is the opposition in Parliament, which is often unfairly prejudiced, misjudged, or equated with others!

Every large or small opposition force, every segment or group must transcend itself and unite in a front, without maybes, without ifs, without petty pettyness!

Electoral and political engineering under the silence of society has put it to the test of existence! Now this awakening produces great hope!

"Besa" and "Prania Besnike" have become two monuments of hypocrisy and political folklore. It is rhetoric of trouble!

They do not symbolize faith, but fear; they do not represent commitment to citizens, but the need to overcome the anxiety that the protest has created!

Today, the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama are no longer facing only the opposition, but the people.

In the face of citizens demanding accountability, in the face of young people leaving, in the face of families losing hope, in the face of the impoverished middle class, in the face of the poor who are angry, in the face of intellectuals who are tired of silence and conformity, in the face of citizens who want to preserve their individual dignity over constitutional principles and that of the Republic. History has shown that bad governments usually leave and society remains. In Albania, the opposite has happened: the government has resisted, while society has left.

This is the greatest drama of these years, a paradox that is both political and cultural, a big question mark for an ancient people!

Therefore, protest remains the last hope and the greatest emancipatory force of citizens.

Neither heat, nor rain, nor fear should stop him. History has taught us that half-hearted actions, dull dialectics have favored repression and authoritarianism in the later phase!

It is time for a historic turning point, for the return of pluralism, political freedom, and a state that serves the citizens, not a minority that considers power its property and the citizen a nameless instrument in the service of their ambitions!
