The Head of the Tirana Fire Department, Shkëlqim Goxhaj, in an interview on "News24"" has covered the fire situation in the country.
He emphasized that the most problematic area currently is the one on Mount Dajti, as the difficult terrain makes full intervention impossible.
He also underlined that "the most problematic situation that the firefighting teams faced was the one in Priska on August 12."
"Today we have fire service forces that are making it possible to isolate the fires to prevent them from reactivating. Meanwhile, in Dajti, the situation is out of control and requires great coordination. Since the day the fire broke out, we have been in coordination with these forces and we continue to be and work to extinguish the fire. In the territory of the Municipality of Tirana, over 100 fires have appeared, where the most help was needed was in the Priska area. This year, the most problematic is the Dajti Mountain because the terrain is very difficult," he said.
