One of the prominent figures of Albanian basketball, Spiro (Pirro) Koleka, has passed away at the age of 73.
A name that left an indelible mark as part of the "magic generation" of 17 Nëntorit (today KS Tirana) in the 70s and who later took his knowledge, passion and experience to the international arena, as a coach in the Italian championship, successfully leading the famous team Victoria Libertas Pesaro.
His contribution to the sport, professionalism, and love for basketball will always remain an inspiration to younger generations.
