The incident took place in their apartment in Porcari, Lucca, at Via Galgani 186. The sad story of this family has touched the hearts of all Albanians, but also the Italian community where they lived, while details of the tragedy were made public today on the show 'With an Open Heart' on News24, by author and moderator Evis Ahmeti.
The son of the head of the family, Arti Kola, has given details of how they learned the terrible news. He said that his cousin's mother had learned the terrible news that 4 members of her family had lost their lives. Meanwhile, he appealed for help from Albanians to make it possible for the 4 dead bodies of this family to be brought to Albania, to rest in their homeland.
INTERVIEW
I offer my condolences for the loss of your family members.
Thank you!
How is the situation in the Kola family?
The situation is a catastrophe. 'Mine with a clock', we Albanians say.
Did you learn how the tragedy happened?
I don't live near here. We had people and I didn't deal with these things. I don't know exactly what happened.
How is your cousin?
It's better. We've seen it, we've talked about it,
How is the mother?
How will the mother be...like the mother.
Have you told him what happened?
We showed it to him last night at dinner.
How did you receive it?
How would my sister expect it? She only knew about 1, not about 4. I have no information about how it happened.
How did you hear the news?
We heard about it from others. Help us bring them to Albania, in this case you would be doing us a great honor.
