Albanian football has received bitter news today, as it was learned that former Vlorë footballer Agim Bubeqi has passed away. The famous former striker of the 80s, part of Flamurtari who wrote history in our country and in the international arena, was found dead in his apartment this Wednesday. The Flamurtari club was the one who immediately posted a message of condolence for the Vlorë football icon:

"Flamurtari FC expresses its most sincere condolences on the passing of Agim Bubeqi, the former footballer of our club's golden years.

His contribution and name will remain part of the history and memory of the red and black family.

"Sincere condolences to the family, relatives and the entire sports community," the club's post read.
