The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs welcomes the civic engagement of Albanian students in North Macedonia
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali reacted today by congratulating the Albanian students of North Macedonia for their civic engagement and the democratic manner in which they have articulated their demands for the use of the Albanian language, in accordance with the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the legislation in force.
In her response, the Minister emphasized that the willingness of the institutions of North Macedonia to address this issue seriously and in accordance with the Constitution and the country's legal framework is also encouraging, underlining the importance of respecting institutional procedures and democratic standards.
"Dialogue and institutional solutions remain the safest path to strengthening trust and democratic standards," said the Minister, emphasizing that democratic processes and respect for rights guaranteed by law are fundamental to the advancement of democratic societies.
In conclusion, the Minister reiterated the importance of continuing constructive dialogue and institutionally addressing issues related to community rights, in accordance with democratic principles and the relevant legal framework.
