The wave of Albanian diaspora protests against the government has crossed the ocean, moving to the United States of America.

Numerous Albanians have gathered in front of the Albanian Embassy building in Washington, DC, joining similar events taking place in many cities and capitals of Europe.

With strong calls against the executive, Albanians gathered in the American capital have demanded the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. In addition to the demand for his departure, protesters have also articulated in front of the diplomatic headquarters a call for the arrest of the head of government, holding him responsible for the situation in the country.

This rally in Washington, DC comes as part of a broad coordination of the diaspora on a global scale, as similar protests have been recorded earlier in cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Milan and Stockholm, while within Albania, the civic revolt in the streets of Tirana has been continuing for a week.
