TIRANA - For 14 days, Albanians have been protesting against the Prime Minister and demanding his resignation. On Saturday, the protest had one of the largest participations. A high participation from the Diaspora was also noted.
On the show "Time to Wake Up" on News24, the protests have caught the attention of citizens who call and express the concerns and problems they face on a daily basis.
In unison, they express their revolt against the government, against Prime Minister Edi Rama and his misgovernance. A large number of callers call for the prime minister to resign.
"He is not a prime minister, he is a criminal. He is against Albanians, he is Vučić's brother. Who made the mountains of the coast, father... May their heads be cut off. I call on all pensioners to come out to the square and eliminate him because he is not an Albanian. He mocks the people. He behaves like a thug," said a caller.
They have also massively supported the protest, expressing their support and calling for them not to surrender and divide, but to overthrow the corrupt government.
"Go away, you scum, leave the youth alone, you've completely wiped them out. Leave them alone with the old. All socialist MPs should be vetted. This weed will be eradicated as soon as possible," said a caller.
"We pay as much as the hairs on our heads, but many villages have turned into ruins. Stinking water, unaffordable prices. Most of the people suffer like dogs, but he lives like a sheikh... But today crime rules, not him. Not only should he go to prison, but all the wealth that has been taken from these people should be returned," said another citizen.
