The European Democratic Party has reacted to the massive protests in Albania, which for more than three weeks have been demanding the non-negotiable departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government.

In an official reaction, they stated that yesterday's protest sent a clear message that Albanians seek a European future.

They add, in a direct call to Rama, that the latter should choose transparency, laws and not agreements that favor the powerful.

"Albania is not for sale," they conclude their response.
