Kosovo's acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who is participating in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, has emphasized the strong ties between Kosovo and Albania, describing them as a single nation.

He added that, although there are two states and two passports, there are not two different nations.

Commenting on the comparisons with Moldova and the Russian danger, Kurti said that the situation is not the same for Kosovo and Serbia, as there is no Serbian canton that threatens sovereignty, as is the case with Transnistria.

"In Kosovo, such a thing might have been important in the northern part five or ten years ago, but now it does not exist," Kurti said.
