Carlos Alcaraz continues his winning streak after returning to the court. The Spaniard secured his ticket to the third round of the US Open after defeating Portuguese Jaime Faria in a set.

In the fourth set, Alcaraz left no room for his opponent, made two breaks and closed the match with a score of 6-2, for a 3-1 victory in sets after 2 hours and 41 minutes of play.
In the third round, Alcaraz will face Chinese Wu, who advanced after a clean 3-0 victory over Australian Duckworth.
