The European Union Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, congratulated Klodian Braho on his election as head of SPAK. Gonzato himself closely followed the process at KLP.
In his brief statement to the media, the EU ambassador emphasized the readiness to continue close cooperation with justice institutions.
Gonzato praised the key role that SPAK plays in the fight against organized crime and corruption, underlining that European support for this mission remains unwavering. He added that international representatives were looking for a candidate with levels of independence and integrity to lead SPAK.
Silvio Gonzato: We have come here to show our support for the KLP, but also to show interest in the appointment procedure. SPAK has an essential role in the fight against crime and corruption. It is one of the key requirements for the EU. Yesterday we said that what we are looking for is a chairman who will continue the work of SPAK, and what we were looking for was a candidate with levels of independence and integrity. I congratulate Mr. Braho and we look forward to cooperating with him in the future.
