An elderly man was hit by an ambulance on Friday evening, near the city library.
According to police sources, the elderly man was crossing the road on his bicycle when he was hit by the ambulance. After the accident, the driver of the vehicle himself transported the injured man to the hospital, where he received medical attention and is out of danger.
The ambulance driver, with the initials EQ, about 44 years old, tested positive for alcohol.
Police arrested him for drunk driving and causing the accident.
