A serious incident has shocked France, where a 3-year-old boy died after being found locked inside his family's car in Saint-Gratien. The incident occurred in the Val-d'Oise department, in the midst of a heat wave that has gripped France.

According to authorities, the child was found unconscious on Wednesday evening by his parents, who had lost contact with him. Emergency services arrived at the scene and attempted to revive him, but despite their efforts, the 3-year-old was pronounced dead. Preliminary investigations indicate that the child had been left unattended for at least 45 minutes. It is suspected that he had gotten into the vehicle parked near the apartment on his own and had become trapped inside. At the time, the mother was sleeping with the family's 18-month-old baby, while the father was working in a shed in the yard.
The mother was transported to the hospital in a state of shock, while the prosecution has launched an investigation for manslaughter. The minor's body has been sent to the forensic institute for an autopsy.

The incident comes just days after another tragic incident in France. On June 22, two children, ages 2 and 4, were found dead inside their family's car in Carpentras, after they had gotten into the vehicle and become trapped while their mother was busy arranging food. In that case, too, efforts by doctors to save them were unsuccessful.
