A large-scale anti-drug operation has been conducted by police in Athens, leading to the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics and the arrest of three people.
The operation ended with the arrest of two Greek citizens, aged 59 and 50, as well as a 35-year-old Albanian citizen. They are accused of possession and trafficking of narcotics.
During the operation, police seized over 26 kilograms of cocaine and more than 360 kilograms of marijuana, both processed and raw. The market value of the drugs is estimated at around 2.5 million euros.
According to authorities, the narcotics had been previously obtained by the 59-year-old, who was also acting on behalf of the 50-year-old. Most of the drugs were found in a warehouse and an apartment used by them, where packaging and distribution equipment were also seized.
