The President of the European Council, António Costa, during his visit to Skopje, will meet with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski today.

Media in Skopje report that Mickoski will hold a 'head-to-head' meeting with Costa and then a meeting will be held between the government delegation and the delegation led by the president of the European Council.

Afterwards, Mickoski and Costa will hold a joint press conference at the government.

The President of the European Council began his visit yesterday to the Western Balkans, where he is meeting with leaders of the region and will co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tivat on June 5.

Costa will discuss the opportunities and challenges of European Union enlargement, gradual integration, regional cooperation, security and stability.

Tomorrow Costa will travel to Pristina, while on Thursday he will visit Belgrade. He will conclude the tour with a visit to Montenegro.

On June 5, Costa will co-chair the EU-Western Balkans Summit 2026, the main theme of which will be: "Shared prosperity and stability of the EU and the Western Balkans".
