Heavy rains have hit Greece. The situation is catastrophic. Greek media are reporting that a woman has died after a car was swept away by the water and crashed.
Videos published on social media show the dire situation in Attica, with roads impassable and filled with water and debris from the surrounding hills.
Also bad weather has caused major problems throughout Attica, with torrential downpours causing images of biblical destruction in many areas.
