With London on holiday, in the last week of the Premier League there was a bit of a dilemma, where only a ticket to the Champions League was played. Aston Villa and Liverpool, join Arsenal, Man.City and Man.United, configuring the 5 English teams that will play in the new season in the Champions. Aston Villa triumphed 1-2 in the away match against Man.City, closing the season in fourth place, this was a super season for Unai Emery's team after they had previously triumphed in the Europa League final.

Semenyo scored first for Man.City, but in the second half a “double” from Watkins gave Aston Villa the victory. It was clear that City were more prepared for the farewell of Pep Guardiola and Bernardo Silva, with the stadium welcoming the Spanish technician, the coach who in 10 years gave this club 20 trophies, including 6 Premier League titles and 1 Champions League.:

"I leave with an incredible sense of peace, I gave it my all. Good and bad things are part of sport, but I feel surrounded by love, that's the truth.", said Guardiola, among other things.

With 60 points, Liverpool finished in 5th place this season, securing a ticket to the Champions League next season. The Reds did not go beyond a 1-1 draw against Brentford, but enough to save what was left of this season. This was the last match for two club icons, Momo Salah and Robertson. Through tears, Salah greeted the fans before this match:

"I think I cried more today than I have in my entire life. I'm not an emotional person, but I spent an important part of my life here. We managed to send this club to where it deserved to be," Salah said.
