Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of not prioritizing the interests of Albanians, but rather his own personal interests.

He expressed his strong condemnation of Rama's stance on concealing his participation in the summit in Spain, while saying that in the case of a head of government, he is at the summit as a representative of Albanians.

"These movements of this delinquent man caught by Albanian and international laws, make Albania ridiculous. What does he show with this? It shows that he has no national interests. You went and accepted, you joined the peace board. We have fully approved this that if the issue is about national issues, we vote and we are on the side of the USA. Let there be no illusions. Now what is pushing you to go to those who have crystal anti-American positions? They have those positions as their interests, as they judge. You do not have interests for yourself, but personal ones.
Doesn't this show a man without character? Why did you publish the photo? What do you have? At that summit there were heads of state with anti-American positions. What pushed him? These are only Edi Rama's interests. It is an abuse of office and position. He tried to deceive the Albanians. You saw it yourself. I strongly condemn such a humiliating position. I don't care that he humiliates himself, but it is a representation. It has never happened! It cannot happen. For the prime minister to go to a summit and hide it," he said.
