The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, received the European Union Ambassador to Albania, Silvio Gonzato, at the Assembly, at the start of the new parliamentary session.
The focus of the meeting was the busy legislative agenda of this session, which foresees the review of a large number of draft laws, as well as the advancement of two important reforms, the Electoral Reform and the Territorial Reform.
Balla emphasized the key role of the Parliament in this crucial phase of the European integration process.
"We discussed the advancement of the European integration process, the key role of the Parliament in this crucial phase of Albania's EU membership, with our clear objective of raising our red and black flag in the courtyard of Brussels by November 28, 2030."
Balla expressed pride in the country's progress in the negotiations so far, emphasizing that Albania has opened all group chapters and is moving decisively towards their closure, on the basis of merit, concrete reforms and respect for European values.
