Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu is in Washington where he held a meeting with American Congressman Tim Walberg.

The focus of the discussion was the "gender equality" law and the serious consequences it brings for the institution of the family and the education system in Albania.

During the meeting, Balliu raised concerns that this law does not aim for real equality between women and men, but represents an extreme ideological agenda, imported from the radical left, which aims to penetrate pre-university education and directly influence the formation of Albanian children.

Congressman Tim Walberg clearly stated that the United States of America will never support such an ideological philosophy and emphasized that he is personally committed to opposing this agenda wherever it tries to impose itself.
