The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, in his speech in the Assembly, spoke about the EU IBAR report on our country, where he said that it fully complies with what the DP has said about the situation in Albania.
He added that unlike how the majority tries to act as if the Balluku issue is not related to integration, the report talks specifically about the immunity of the former Deputy Prime Minister and Mirlinda Karçanaj.
Gazment Bardhi:
The media has exposed you, since you say IBAR has no connection with Balluk. Did you read it or did you pretend not to read it. “However, the EU stresses that corruption remains widespread in most areas of public life and business, including all branches of central and local government, as well as institutions, remaining an issue of serious concern. The EU notes Albania's progress in further amending and supplementing its legal and institutional framework in the fight against corruption.
The EU stresses that these measures must now be implemented with determination and have an impact particularly on the sectors most at risk from corruption, above all in public infrastructure, cadastre and property rights, customs, tax administration, education, health, public procurement and Public-Private Partnership contracts.
The EU invites Albania to complete the review and effective implementation of the legislation on donations and sponsorships, as well as on the financing of political parties, through an inclusive and constructive inter-party dialogue.
The EU stresses that Albania needs to make further significant progress in preventing and combating the widespread and pervasive nature of corruption. The EU notes Albania's efforts to strengthen institutional capacities and the coordination of anti-corruption institutions. The EU also notes the consolidation of operational and human capacities," the IBAR report states.
You have said we have no problems with the elections, but IBAR emphasizes that measures must be taken to create equality between the parties, while adding that the network of patronage agents must disappear.
Since you have not listened to the opposition so far, which has not said a single word different from what the EU has told you, in IBAR, you are now forced to implement what the 27 EU countries have asked you to do.
