Former head of the Court of Appeal, Alaudin Malaj, in an interview on the show "Opposition" IN News24, spoke about the suspension of former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the indictment of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

During the interview, he explained that the head of the executive is not legitimate as an institution to file any kind of lawsuit in court. He also emphasized that in no country in the world does the prime minister file a lawsuit.

"If we are to stick to the statement from the judges' association, I agree in principle. The media attack by the prime minister is a direct attack. I think he is not doing it intentionally, but the circumstances of the event, and the legal opinions that have prompted the prime minister to file this lawsuit are inappropriate for it to be done at this time. The balance of powers is this, the prime minister, the parliament and the judges. The only mechanism that judges have to control these powers is this, to take a security measure, to conduct criminal proceedings and to build a trial against a person. So we are rushing to tell the court that you must act as you should. The intervention of the prime minister is inappropriate. For me, the head of the executive is not legitimized as an institution to file any kind of lawsuit in court. He has no legal right. He has entered himself mainly to become a party. The court did not enter it. In no country in the world does the prime minister file a lawsuit. But why was it done? What are the causes or reasons? This is for "To be discussed. But what I am glad about is that after 10 years, the Prime Minister has concluded that with this justice he has harmed Albanian families. The judge was killed in the courtroom, it was very serious," he said.
