Journalist Klodiana Lala, invited to the studio News24, has provided details on the latest developments regarding SPAK's investigations into Belinda Balluku, who has been suspended from her duties as Deputy Prime Minister.

According to Lala, in addition to investigations into tender procedures worth millions of euros, the Special Prosecution Office has sent letters to several institutions and banks, requesting detailed information on the assets of Balluk and persons associated with him. The focus of the investigation will be to verify the sources of income and identify any unjustified assets.

She stressed that the wealth investigation is complex, as senior officials have a legal obligation to declare their income, while prosecutors must prove whether there are discrepancies or unjustified income. According to her, the investigation extends to the entire period from the moment Balluk became obligated to declare his assets until today.

Lala added that all new evidence will be referred to the Mandates Council, while during the investigation, the need may arise to obtain additional data on trips or assets abroad. In these cases, SPAK must use international registered mail, a procedure that requires a longer time.

According to the journalist, the investigations are deepening every day and new evidence is being collected that may bring previously unknown circumstances. She announced that SPAK has conducted inspections of a considerable number of companies that have won tenders, which according to the prosecution's suspicions were predetermined. Among them are Arbër Abazi's company, "Nova Construction", "Salillari" and other entities.
