The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, held a meeting with the German Minister for Europe.
In a post on social media, Bardhi wrote that at the meeting he emphasized that it remains vital for Albania to guarantee free and fair elections and good governance for the benefit of citizens.

Albania's European integration should be a process that aims to implement European standards in the country, and not be used as an excuse to cover up misgovernance. The opposition fully supports the integration process based on standards and merit.
In this process, I emphasized that it remains vital for Albania to guarantee free and fair elections, good governance for the benefit of citizens, the fight against corruption and the government's links with organized crime, allowing the justice system to carry out its work with integrity and independence in accordance with the principles of the rule of law, as well as the democratic functioning of institutions, especially the Parliament of Albania.
