The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, received today the new graduates of the Albanian School of Political Studies. During this meeting, the Head of State congratulated them on the completion of the program, expressing that the knowledge gained at this school should be used tomorrow as active citizens of public life. 
President Begaj encouraged this generation of recent graduates to demonstrate leadership and responsibility to contribute to Albanian society.
 
During the conversation, a special place was dedicated to the process of Albania's integration into the European Union. President Begaj highlighted the fact that the country is in an important phase of this process: that of the conclusion of negotiations, which paves the way for full membership in the EU.
 
"The phase we are in requires much more work, much more commitment and much more cooperation to consolidate the rule of law, to build democratic institutions, to strengthen human rights and freedoms, to strengthen the media and for inclusive and constructive dialogue", - emphasized President Begaj, underlining the importance of fulfilling the long-standing Albanian dream and aspiration to make Albania like Europe with its full membership in the EU.
 
According to the President of the Republic, EU membership is also a great responsibility in fulfilling reforms related to the standardization of all sectors of our society to the level required by the European Union. 
 
Along these lines, President Begaj emphasized the need for the continuation of transformative reforms that demonstrate the maturity of the state and society to respond to future challenges as a long-term investment.
"You are the ones who will build the future," said President Begaj during the conversation with the young people, supporting them in deepening the knowledge they have acquired and in participating in social life.
Strengthening democracy in the country and increasing responsibility in decision-making were considered at this meeting as essential elements for the country's further development towards meeting European standards.
The President of the Republic also praised the role of the Albanian School of Political Studies in building a new political and civic culture with a European spirit and influence in Albanian society. President Begaj also conveyed special thanks to the Council of Europe for the support provided, emphasizing the importance of strengthening this partnership.
