Prime Minister Edi Rama has been at the center of criticism for the way he communicates with the public, especially during the tourist season, being accused of focusing on publishing images of natural beauties and achievements of the private sector, instead of highlighting the work and responsibilities that belong to the government. In a statement, member of the DP Presidency, Grigels Muçollari criticizes Rama for frequently publishing images of sunsets and sunrises, seas, mountains, lakes and tourist destinations, while raising the question of why concrete projects or solutions that are directly related to the functioning of the state are not displayed in the same way.

"It is perhaps unprecedented how our Prime Minister behaves and promotes the tourist season. Every day he publishes a sunset, a sunset, a dawn or a sunrise, at sea, mountains or fields," the statement says.

The criticism continues by highlighting the lack of publications on issues related to the government's direct responsibilities, such as putting wastewater treatment plants into operation, resolving critical traffic junctions, or increasing food security.

"We have yet to see the Prime Minister show us the commissioning of a wastewater treatment plant. Or the solution to a critical traffic junction. Or the increase in food security," it further states.

He also mocks the prime minister's communication style, describing it as "behaving like a publicist in the 13th year of government", while accusations are raised that Rama is active when it comes to government decision-making. "Behaving like a publicist in the 13th year of government is a big mockery. This does not mean at all that the artist in sneakers escapes from the routine work of the government. When it comes to permits, licenses, concessions and tenders, he is there full time. Nothing escapes him. The only escape he makes is from responsibility for failures", the statement says.

The sun rises and sets on its own, the affairs of government are yours.

It is perhaps unprecedented how our Prime Minister behaves and promotes the tourist season. Every day he publishes a sunset, a dusk, a dawn or a sunrise, at sea, mountains or fields.

After each day that ends and a new one begins, his hand is hidden. This creator brings light to the Albanians on earth and takes it away at dinner to bring it back the next day.

He also publishes natural beauty, peaks, valleys, lakes, bays, which is almost like saying they didn't exist before 2013.

It highlights the achievements of the private sector, of beaches or hotels that people have built with hard work.

So, everything that has nothing to do with the government and his affairs. His people follow this method too. And Taulant often speaks to us with awakenings and sunsets.

We have yet to see the Prime Minister show us the commissioning of a wastewater treatment plant.

Or solving a critical traffic junction. Or increasing food security.

Elements related to what a government should accomplish.

As if these are not his responsibility.

Behaving like a publicist in the 13th year of government is a great mockery.

This does not mean at all that the artist in sneakers escapes from the mundane tasks of government. When it comes to permits, licenses, concessions and tendering, he is there full time. Nothing escapes him. The only escape he makes is from responsibility for failures.
