Economic expert Zef Preçi has described the public appearances of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku, who has been indicted by SPAK on several charges, as humiliating and a challenge to citizens.

Invited to the show "Oponencë", he emphasized that Balluku is accused of stealing millions of euros from Albanian taxpayers and in Albania, she and many officials do not have the "culture" of resigning.

Zef Preçi: Ms. Balluku is the subject of an investigation and it is an open challenge, a humiliation inflicted on the public with her public appearances.

No one resigns in this country, not even that prison director whose prisoner escaped. There is personalization of power. This means that there is political protection for individuals with power and clinging to the chair.

We have lost the controlling and oversight role of the Assembly. We have no control, no accountability, and we have personalization of power.

Today, parliament is used as a shield for interests that are outside of politics. I don't think those who take public office are saints.

Anyone who assumes a public responsibility must exercise it with integrity.
